Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became a morning news anchor at WCBD TV and acted as the crime reporter. Her reporting of the ineffective police response to DUI incidents in Charleston resulted in an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. O'Dell has worked in Charleston as a reporter and co-anchor for the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring over to Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent on weekends. Alongside her work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and also contributes to Dateline NBC. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
